Lake Joseph Sold Cottages 2021

(Lakelands Real Estate Board) In 2021 there were 13 freehold waterfront properties sold on the Lakelands Real Estate Board. This included cottages, lake homes and vacant waterfront lots. They ranged in price from $725,000 to $8,048,819 with many selling in the $3,500,000-$6,000,000 range.

Inventory was low throughout the year and the demand was very strong leading to many multiple offer situations with some properties going well above the asking price. Early indications look to a similar situation for the 2022 selling season.

In 2020 there were 32 freehold properties sold on the lake between the $895,000-$11,950,000. This is more than double 2021 sales numbers. Many families who have owned cottages for generations have decided not to sell since once they're out of the market it can be very difficult to get back in.
